In fact, some leading fossil collectors even state that many of the dinosaur bones found in the Cretaceous layers are only 40% mineralized, with as much as 60% of the bone being original material–appearing “just like they were buried yesterday after scraping off just the outside layer of mineralization” (see Biddle, “Genesis as History,” p. 112).
