The Discovering Origins curriculum includes a student workbook and teacher guide, three films (Genesis Impact, 7 Myths, and The Ark and the Darkness), four books (Debunking Evolution, Genesis Impact, 7 Myths, and The Ark and the Darkness), and special online web pages that contain links to all required video and reading material. All tests and answer keys are available on the teacher webpage.
This curriculum is open and go, meaning at its simplest, homeschool parents can hand the workbook and student webpage link to their high schooler and the student could complete the entire year without any intervention besides tests and grading. However, Discovering Origins can also be used in Christian schools or homeschool co-ops, with teachers taking a more hands on approach and adapting the curriculum to their groups’ needs.
“Elizabeth Isaacs has not only written a curriculum that will give your students a comprehensive overview of science from a biblical worldview, but also addresses heart issues and teaches practical ways to use the information to reach others. She presents the content in a compelling way, incorporates video and other outside sources to foster engagement, and provides thought-provoking assignments to drive students deeper in their understanding.”
